Aspirations
At Upton St Leonards C of E Primary School, pupils are encouraged to achieve their full potential and reach for the stars. They are taught to follow their aspirations and turn their dreams into reality.
Our curriculum is designed to inspire our children, supporting them to understand how the skills and knowledge they gain in each subject will be relevant throughout their lives. It gives them opportunities to discuss different career paths they make take in their future lives and the relevance of each subject to fulfil that ambition.
Through our worships, pupils are inspired by listening to adults talk about different career paths that they have pursued. They are given opportunities to ask relevant questions in order to broaden their understanding of the wider world and opportunities available.
In each class, pupils discuss their aspirations for their future lives. These are displayed in the classroom to celebrate children’s future dreams.
