Mrs H Bird - Pastoral Head of School (SMT)

Our Pastoral Head of School strategically leads Inclusion and Well-Being. She is our Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator (SENCo) and is also responsible for co-ordinating appropriate provision for those children falling into vulnerable groups such as; pupil premium indicated children, children in care, ethnic minority pupils, pupils with English as an additional language, those children with medical requirements, as well as promoting the emotional well-being of all. The Pastoral Head of School is also responsible for the strategic development of behaviour and attendance, as well as being a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL).

Our Pastoral Head of School's primary aim is to support and promote an inclusive culture throughout the school, enabling all children to achieve their best, overcoming barriers to learning and participation.

Mrs S Milburn - Inclusion Admin Assistant

Mrs S Milburn is our Inclusion admin assistant . She supports Mrs Bird with the day-to-day operation of the school's SEN policy and supports in the co-ordination of additional support for pupils with SEN in our school.  

Mr R Eakers - Family Support Worker

Mr Eakers is the lead Pastoral worker supporting Mrs Bird with Early Help intervention, SEND and Healthcare.

Mr Eakers is based in ‘The Hub’ . He is a DDSL and is a qualified Thrive Practitioner. 

His main role is to provide specific emotional support to children and their families, in order to ensure that every pupil achieves their potential through the provision of targeted support, signposting to services and interventions.

Mrs L Jephcote -Pastoral Support Worker

Mrs Jephcote is the lead Pastoral worker supporting Mrs Bird with the Pets as Therapy initiative, Behaviour, Young Carers and supporting those children who may have attachment needs from being in care or following an adoption.

Mrs Jephcote is based  in ‘The Hub’. She is trained in the use of Lego Therapy, is a qualified ELSA and is a  Thrive Practitioner.

Her main role is to provide specific emotional support to children and their families, in order to ensure that every pupil achieves their potential through the provision of targeted support, signposting to services and interventions.

Mrs J Childs - Attendance Officer 

Mrs Childs is responsible for monitoring and keeping accurate records of pupil attendance. She liaises with parents and carers.

Mrs Childs also produces many of the rewards for pupils with high levels of attendance and supports Mrs Bird in putting support in place for families whose attendance is below the expected level.
