We are a group of children representing our classes from year one to six. Keeping our school values at the heart of what we do, our aim is to ensure that all pupils have a voice and a safe, happy and fair learning environment. We gather ideas from our classes and meet every few weeks with Miss Baish. Our school council meetings are a forum to voice concerns and act upon them. Throughout the year, we are involved in charity fundraising events and arranging projects such as improvement work for our school.
School Council work
In previous years the school council has been involved in the following projects:
· Helping to develop our Spiritual Garden
· Supporting the developments to our lunchtimes
· We decided on and wrote the playground and lunchtime charters
· We created a time capsule to be placed in the new motorway bridge
· Raising money for national charities such as Children in Need
Our plans for the coming school year:
· To raise money for issues arising in our communities
· To discuss and develop a School Council motto
· To explore how we can further incorporate the values for life into our School Council
· To survey pupil voice within the school and make any necessary improvements
· To be involved in securing the Anti Bullying charter mark.
· Ensure of Road Safety campaign continues
